Over 200 colleagues present our Union Mission to the administration

On Monday morning, during staff day at Columbia campus, we, the MSD faculty and staff, delivered a letter to acting superintendents Jennifer Ortiz and Ann Miller.

Two hundred plus colleagues gathered together near the lobby of Denton while a representative group of MSD workers met with administrators and presented our union mission statement. After reading out loud the statement that over 200 MSD employees signed, we asked administrators to recognize that MSD faculty and staff are united to gain collective bargaining, and we asked if they would work with our union with respect in the future.

Jen and Ann told our delegation that they share the same vision to improve MSD and that they respect and support our right to organize, and that they want to work together with our union..

Photos: One could feel the energy vibes throughout the lobby despite it being the first day of work orientation. There was a crowd at the union table reading and checking the life-size mission statement poster. Contagious excitement and smiles spread.
